We used to have programs here in our office for teaching children about dentistry. We saw a lot of children to take care of them for, you know, not only getting their teeth clean, fluoride, restorations, pre-orthodontic treatment. I’ve never gotten an orthodontic treatment in my office because I have been so fortunate to have excellent orthodontists that happen to be even in the area.
Normally when I refer somebody to any specialist, I don’t care if they’re the closest ones. I care if they’re the best ones that I know of. So we send people all over the cities.
You know, I’m okay with that because you’re going to get your money’s worth. Now some things, you have to temper that. If it’s like an orthodontist, you’re going to be going in and out how many times during the treatment.
But most of the time, we’re going to send people to the best people we know, the people that we would go to and do go to. And the staff would certainly agree with that. They say, yes, we went to this person for this reason.
And then as the practice grew, we had more pediatric dentists move into the area. They wanted to do more of the kids. I went back to school and then got into more of the more advanced restorative cases.
And so I started doing more adult dentistry, if you want to look at it that way. But we still have plenty of little kids in here. I love kids.
Kids are great.
